Installation Steps for the Windows Base Operating System Management Pack for MOM 2005 SP1

Configuring the Windows Base OS MP for MOM 2005 SP1 is relatively straightforward.  The benefit it provides include a number of the relevent 'health indicators' for the Operating System.  It should be used in conjunction with the many other available Management Packs to provide an aggregate view of the health of Servers in your environment.  You can reference the Windows Base Operating System Management Pack Guide through the preceding URL.  The downloadable MP is available here - Windows Base Operating System Management Pack for MOM 2005 SP1

Here's the general setup for this Virtualized Environment:

Single Forest
Single Domain
Single Domain Controller (Win2k3 R2 AD)
Single Exchange Server (Ex2k7)
Single Realtime Collaboration Server (LCS2k5 SP1 SE)
Pair of MOM Servers (MOM2k5 SP1 on SQL2k5 SP1) - Management Server and Reporting Server
Single Application Layer Firewall (ISA2k6 SE)
Pair of Clients (WinXP SP2)
